NETARTS has the best of everything. Friendly small town by the bay & ocean with just enough restaurants & stores to meet your everyday needs, yet only 6 miles to Tillamook with its major hospital, supermarkets, YMCA, movie theater, performing arts center, bowling, skating, fairgrounds, and so much more. Also, just 90 minutes to downtown Portland and 20 minutes closer than that to major shopping centers in the suburbs. Netarts Bay is a pristine estuary (no manufacturing or agricultural runoff) which assures tasty & clean Dungeness Crab, clams, oysters & fish. AFFORDABLE HOMES can still be found in the heart of Netarts, enviably close to bayfront beaches.

 

WILSON BEACH is a development where manufactured homes are allowed and views are protected by covenant. Here is the likely neighborhood to find a one level home if that's your preference.

 

VISTA VIEW sits atop a hill in the heart of Netarts. Rarely do homes appear on the market in this area, but when they do, the lucky buyer will likely acquire an unparalleled view of the ocean surging into the bay, the spit, the crabbers & boaters & seals, pelicans, herons & much more.

 

PEARL STREET homes will also usually feature those views, and most of these homes are beachfront. Again, these rarely appear on the market and when they do, generally sell quickly. There are 11 small beachfront condominiums at Pearl Point, built in the 80's.

 

HAPPY CAMP might be considered a misnomer now that the previous RV park is gone, replaced by beautiful beachfront homes built around the turn of the millennium. But there can be no question that the current residents are happy campers indeed, sitting at the mouth of Netarts Bay where the ocean and Fall Creek come spilling in onto the sandy stretch of beach.

 

LOOKOUT POINTE is a tiny development located next to Schooner Landing and boat basin. Cedar shingled cottages built in the late 90's enjoy South exposure bay views.

 

HOLLY HEIGHTS on the East side of Hwy 131 (Netarts Oceanside Hwy) features upscale townhomes, approx 1900 sq ft, built in the late 90's, and boasting wide bay & ocean views and it's own little 3 hole golf links.

WHISKEY CREEK is the name of a salmon habitat creek, the only significant waterway flowing into Netarts Bay. The road going along the bay, past the fish hatchery and up onto Cape Lookout is called Whiskey Creek Road.  Tucked away among the trees along this road are some beautiful homes, mostly bayfront with awesome views.  The rural zoning requires 2 acres minimum for one house.

 

NEW DEVELOPMENTS are in the offing with at least 160 new homes planned for the area.  This should make the downtown commercial area of Netarts revitalize and grow, likely making this an excellent area for investment.

 

To find Netarts, travel West from Portland on Hwy 26, taking the Hwy 6 cutoff to Tillamook.  When in Tillamook, follow the signs to Netarts which is about 6 miles West of Tillamook.
