Petition to Incorporate the City of Oceanside, Oregon. Click here for:  Reasons to Vote NO

Nothing on this page or linked here expresses the opinion or position of Berkshire Hathaway or Berkshire Hathaway Home Services NW Real Estate. This is public information and the individual opinion of Pam Zielinski

In July 2022, the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners concluded a series of public hearings to address whether the petition to incorporate Oceanside into a city would be feasible.  They decided that it is feasible and the question should be decided by the registered voters in Oceanside on the November 2022 ballot.

The purpose of this page is to provide a way for registered voters in Oceanside, and any who are qualified to register but have not yet done so, to research and obtain the information they need to make an educated decision on this important issue.

I personally am opposed to the incorporation, although I respect that those who proposed it have valid reasons of their own to support it.   Contact me if you want to discuss my reasons.  I believe it will not be a good move for people to whom I have sold homes and land in Oceanside, over the last 24 years.

The proposal was put forth by a group calling themselves Oceansiders United and it was endorsed by the Oceanside Neighborhood Association (ONA).  There is a plethora of information available on the ONA website  which is mostly written and provided by the supporters of the incorporation effort.

Someone from the opposition sector has started a website which is focused on the
reasons NOT to incorporate.

The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners publishes much of the testimony received and the audio of the public hearings at this page:
